When black cats prowl and pumpkins gleam,
May luck be yours on Halloween.
Everyone is a moon and has a dark side,
which he never shows to anybody.
Shadows of a thousand years rise again unseen,
Voices whisper in the trees, "Tonight is Halloween!"
Being in a band you can wear whatever you want
it's like an excuse for Halloween everyday.
The ghostly evening light seemed to bring
the castle shadows to life again.
By pumpkins fat and witches lean..
By coal black cats with eyes of green,
By all the magic ever seen...
I wish you luck this HALLOWEEN!
There are nights when the wolves are silent
and only the moon howls.
Silent phantoms of the night
In their robes of ghostly white.
They are always to be seen
On the night of Halloween.
Lock your doors and turn out the lights,
Or ghosts and goblins will spook you with fright!
Jump in bed then pull the covers up tight,
Close your eyes until the morning is light.
Eat, drink and be scary. Happy Halloween!
If human beings had genuine courage,
they'd wear their costumes everyday of the year,
not just on Halloween.
Deep into the darkness peering, long I stood there,
wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams
no mortal ever dared to dream before. Happy Halloween!
